I'm hosting with devotedhosting.com... And I'm having a problem. Some of my emails are bouncing back and saying that I'm SPAM.... Now coicidentally, this happened just after we sent some email blasts VIA verticalresponse.com to people on our email list (didnt buy, these are people who have been interested in the product before)... This is the second time since we started hosting with them that this has happened as well... previously the guy at devoted hosting had to get our server removed from a blacklist somewhere. Anyways, this is the error message. It seems to be only people who have their email hosted with a particular service host.... I thought that because Vertical Response sent emails from THEIR server we were fine, with a total of only 1700 emails sent out with them i dont see how we could have been turned into spam... Is it possible someone at the office has a virus is causing this? Or is it from the email campaigns? Errors: 1.) It seems that your mail server IP address is blacklisted. Check your mail server IP address from http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx - Kailash
I agree mxtoolbox is the best checker for your IP mail server it's been tested for years. I hope you will solve your problem.
Your host is listed in 3 blacklists http://www.magic-net.nl/black-list-checker.php?black=69.193.74.38&Check_RBL=Blacklist+check
As a heads up, the blacklisting could have been caused by the paid mailings but is more likely the result of being on a shared server. I found this out the hard way as many of my clients still cant get emails from me because of someone who shares the server I am hosted on.
Try to use white list service my friend it might solve your problem... spam blacklist filters are really strict
Seems to me you already know the answer to why your IP has been blacklisted You can't really blame the host for this. It seems you caused it yourself. For them to fix it for you was unusual, most hosts would kick you off if your actions caused their IPs to be listed because many anti-spam lists ban the whole IP block which affects everyone on their network. You don't say whether they gave you permission to add their email address to your email list. "Only 1700" is not a small amount and will easily get you marked as a spammer. I'd say you did this to yourself through your spam, sorry - email, campaign.
