I have a site that is a couple of years old. It is a personal interest site which was built using a hodgepodge of free scripts. I've recently overhauled the site and it's really doing well now. It's not currently listed in DMOZ and I can't remember if I ever submitted it. Is there any way to check?
DMOZ TOS states that you cannot submit a site that is already listed there, but you can try submitting it in 1-2 months if its not listed. To check if it is listed, search your domain name in the search box @ www.dmoz.org
If you don't remember whether you submitted the site, I guess any submission would have been a long time ago. Many site suggestions were lost during a technical breakdown last year - it is possible that yours was among them. You could suggest your site one more time, to the most appropriate category, without fear of being labeled as a spammer.
Heh... you've followed one of the two submission rules! 1. Submit and Forget! 2. Forget to Submit! So congratulations But how long ago did you submit it (if you did?) if it was in 2006, then go ahead and try it again. If it was this year, then it's your call. Though, if you are going to try again, then re-read the submission guidelines. Make sure you have no dead links, all original content, and be sure to submit to the correct category.
Thanks. I'm clear on the guidelines - just couldn't remember if I ever submitted this particular site (it's not one of the ones in my signature).
