When I check Google analytics I recieve a certain amount of traffic, but when I check my hosting account with hostgator it says I recieve far more. I was wondering if I posted the code for analytics and possibly adsense incorrectly. Could someone help me with this matter, thank you.

I can see ads placed on your site. Do you mean you are not getting any earning from your site?

Maybe you're looking at apples and oranges.. Are you sure you're not looking at hits (any image on your page, external css or javascript script, one page, etc) instead of visits when looking at your stats in your webhost?
Anyway, like at the gas station, what counts is the number written on your adsense page views report.. That's what is taken into account for the money. Otherwise analytics is pretty accurate for visits, but it doesn't matter if your end result is the money via adsense..

you could try placing your ads better. I guess 5-10% of clicks.

Ok. google analytics uses first-party cookie to track the traffic of your website.

Eg. So if someone enters your website, he get a cookies in his computer stored by GATC.
If he deletes or block that tracking cookies from his computer and re-enter your website, he will be identified as a new visitor, hence google analytics tracking is not 100% accurate. If he block javascript (GATC code) visitor cannot be tracked.
