Did I mess up?

About a month ago I had a directory submission service submit my site to a bunch of directories. Next thing I know my page rank has fallen. Does Google view that as SPAM? Is there anything I can do?

    Typically Google does not care.
For one thing, if you did this a month ago, a very large share of those submissions have not been accepted yet, of those that have most probably have not been indexed by google yet.

If you real worried, check where you are with your domain name If you were previously #1 an now your not then you may have gotten a penalty (once again I really don't think you have for just the directores no matter how many you put in )

Many sites are taking hits right now due to Google Algorithm changes. If your site is still young enough that your putting it in a bunch of directories then you probably don't have enough authority links to your site to weather these changes unscathed.

To be honest directories are a waste of your time. Try another link development method :) Oh and if your SERPs have not changed then screw PR :)
