Did I make a bad domain name choice?

If you are going to develop your site based on the domain name you bought then there is no harm, you can do SEO well with that domain name, as you can see Google penalized EMD so you have to think of this.

 

I also believe that developing the site is always the best choice.

 

I think that a .com domain would have been better for you.
