Did I get slapped by Google?

I just realized that I was unranked for the keywords in my domain on Google about 3 days ago and nothing has changed except that I had done about 89 backlinks last week (up from my usual 10-15)

I'm going to make up these keywords but here is the basic idea:

    keywords: cheap soft drinks
    my domain: cheapsoftdrinks.com

So yeah I was on page 1 and now I am now unranked but still in the Google index if you were to type in my domain to the search field.

I was also a noob at the time and didn't realize but this is also a pretty competitive niche.

I would say before this happened I had about 200 backlinks total. Maybe 140ish were URL and the other were strictly anchor text.

You should wait one week and sometimes the site comes back this is normal when there is a Google update on the way. We have just past one update so be patient and the site may come back.

if not just proceed with more link building and you will slowly see your site moving forward again.

Sounds like you could be in the dance, meaning Google is deciding on where to put you. how old is the site, how long were you on page one, and how quickly did you get there? This is natural if you got there relatively quickly and have a new site.

I get slapped around and am subjected to dancing with Google at times. Just ignore it and work on another website until the one that is dancing rebounds.
