I was #4 for the key word tech outlet yesterday, but now gotclam.com is not even listed :( How could this happen, did I get banned or something? Is it possible for the sandbox to initiate after I was already indexed?

I often see my ranking for some keywords drop off the face of the earth for a day or two or three only to come back high a few days later. Not sure why that is... but I wouldn't worry much about changes in rank day-to-day. Better to look at the changes over the span of weeks and months. That will give you a more accurate picture of performance.

The whois record shows the site was created on 17 th Dec 2005..thats 5 days back.

In that case you should consider yourself lucky that Google indexed your page so fast ..even if it removed it later...BTW your site is even missing from Yahoo . :D

This happens often with new sites ...have some patience .

    Welcome to the club!
I had a site that disappeared from G index 3-4 days after dumping AdSense in favor of YPN ads. Your site is very heavily Chitika. I suspect it has something to do with your problem.

Was your site down or slow anytime? Google bots are very lazy acc. to me if it was slow or down during their visits then they might have gone forward without picking you up. Merry Christmas!!!

Sandbox doesnt mean your site is not indexed...it merely means your site will not be allowed to rank high for competitive keywords.

A site may have 1000s of pages indexed and still be in the sandbox, if it is targeting competitive words.

pick up some solid links as quickly as you can and you may bypass the sandbox. Having your site listed is not much use unless someone happens to search for your domain name.
