Hi, I am trying to start up a blog about:
    • Buying and/or selling websites and blogs
    • Investing in websites
    • Website flipping
    • "Webpreneurship"
    • whatever else I can think of in this niche

I spent some time thinking up various domain names and I eventually registered and set up my blog at www.websitesalesblog.com. I was thinking it was kind of key word related. But, now I'm having second thoughts in that maybe I should have chosen something more memorable.

These are a few of my other choices:
    • website-opportunities.com
    • lazywebpreneur.com
    • lazywebinvestor.com
    • killerwebsitesforsale
    • dotComSalesBlog.com

So, what do you think? Did I choose the right domain? Are any of my other choices any better? Do you have a better suggestion?

    thanks!

Out of all the domains you had to choose, I honestly believe you picked the right one. The hyphened domain would have failed, and the others don't seem to appealing. Best of luck with your blog.

You also had a 4:20 post. That's honestly amazing. Only a certain few would understand the meaning, if not all of you.

Oops, my domain is actually www.websitesalesblog.com... I edited my op.

LOL at 4:20 - although it's only 2:20 for me.

Why not have something like Webpreneurship.net or .org both are available

Considering the options it's good. The ones with "lazy" in it are a huge no-no IMO

Well, recently, i just happened to come with an Indian friend, who is also seeking for an appropriate domain name for his medical blog, heheh, and i offered him a pertinent piece of advice. So, if you need, i can assist you, just contact me. How to say?

I like the name you choose for SEO and meaning. But if you wanted you could pick up a shorter made up word .com to forward to your site, and brand as your name. This would give users a faster way to find you and remember your name better too.

It's not bad but it's not great. I always second guess my domain purchases eventually, you just have to realise it's not an easy thing to get one you like and that will work as well. In the end it's what you put on the domain that will decide if it was a good choice or not, and the choice I'm talking about isn't the domain, it's sticking at it a creating something of value.

Out of the other options that you had, I would say the one you registered was the right one to go for.

On the other hand, if I went with something like "killerwebsitesforsale.com" I might be able to rank for the "websites for sale" keywords.

    Thoughts?

What do you think of searchwebsitesforsale.com or availablewebsitesforsale.com or goodwebsitesforsale.com?

I think all, including killerwebsitesforsale.com will help you in SEO for the keyword "websites for sale".
