Did Google update its system ?

    Hi there,

    I am in the process to buy a website for $400,000 and this website is depending mostly on Google. Around 75% of the visitors are coming from Google.

    I was tracking the website appearance in Google in the last few days and I notice something new in Google. Most of the results are going up and down around every 12 hours, which is strange.

    I know that results stay in the same Rank if:
    1. another result get better Rank. (movement of the results are very slow and stable)
    2. the website did not get penalized by Google.

    Please advise me because I feel I am taking a big risk to buy this website in this period as I feel the google system been changed recently or it will change soon and the websites statistic will also change and loss big value !

    Then what is the explanation for fast movement in Google results ! :S

    Generally sites move extremely slowly once indexed. If it is moving about on a regular basis then the seo of that particular site may not be very strong? I personally have never experience this but you should be extremely carefull if this is the case. analyse the sites backlinks using something like alexa or google tools too see how the PR has been generated and get as much info as you can from the current owners. If you are paying $400,000 for the site it is very much worth doing ALOT of research, if you want to PM me the site I can do a quick analysis for you. Other then that i wish you all the best with your venture it is never easy when it comes to google!

    dont be fooled by master, because you will get nothing when the fact has been revealed.

    Yeah $400,000 is really a big risk. If you are not on the rush. In my opinion,
    why are you going to buy a website that cost just like that? If you will compute
    the price on creating a website on your own and let SEO work do it
    (the result is long term) why bother buying it? Honestly, based on what you have
    said about the website the owner indeed worked on it so much that they can
    offer you a good result. But after they have given you the website, do you think
    that you can manage to let the result intact? *Hope you don't mind, I'm not insulting
    or anything, but that is just a fact right?..*

    And about the changes in rankings of the website in Google, that is just natural
    since webmasters are working so hard to maintain their rankings and traffic.
