Did Google update its algorithm?

My website suddenly decreased its ranking. The keywords which were o9n page 1 are now on the 3rd page. Did Google update its algorithm or its a sign that my website is creating spam?

Minute 09:55 mark, Mr. Google seems to say that the updates and changes in algorithms seem to be done on a daily basis.

There are tons of updates recently. You have to look for a specific date around which your site got hit.

Yes, I looked forward to it and came to know that Google did many updates since January because my website fluctuated many times since then.

Google does 2-3 tweaks to the algo every day (they said it many times). However, in 90% of cases, your rank drops have nothing to do with updates, unless you are trying to fool the algo. Make sure you follow the guidelines and you will never suffer from any updates being it panda or Tyrannosaurus.
