Recently a new round of Google Slap comes to us, I don't know how many of you been slapped by Google. If Google has slapped you, how you avoid it in the future? I found some ways that other affiliates used to avoid the slap, here I will post it, I hope it helps. 1. MANY MANY MANY pages on your website or landing pages. They should be beneficial for your visitors. Also privacy policy page, about us page, contacts page and FAQ page included. 2. Link to other pages from your site. 3. Don't put other advertisements on your site. 4. Don't sent your visitors to pay page directly. 5. Keywords. Optimize your LP. You should have different LP based on different keywords groups. You must let your visitors feel that your site is what they need. I hope everyone here post your opinions here.
Be also wary of the new FTC law starting December 1, 2009. The FTC wants any product promoted to be more transparent in its claim - which is a good thing since we're seeing so many bogus claims out there. No more of these false "Finally a 100% to..." or "It will help ALL..." claims. As for Google slap, don't just throw sites out there. - Really put relevant content in it (whether it relates to your PPC campaign or not). - Use a Keyword density tool to make sure it's 5% of less based on your keywords compain - Sites selling or promoting stuff MUST have a disclaimer/terms at the very least. Also, add Contact, Privacy, About, etc. In short and this is the common rule...provide real value and service!
I have a few sites that i suspect that they don't have a disclaimer & privacy policy good enough to avoid any "slap" by FTC. We really need an online service or writer that can help us create BIG disclaimers & privacy policies for our health sites (and others too) btw, does the FTC law apply to any website hosted just in the US or does it apply to every website worldwide? I wonder how they will enforce this law & how much workforce they are going to need to enforce this or whether they will really enforce it or not. Will they succeed in convincing Google (Google is US based) to permanently slap all those sites that aren't compatible with this law & other sites that link to such sites? If yes, then the whole internet scenario is going to change drastically for all affiliates. We do make shady claims on ezinearticles and virtually all web 2.0 properties. So does it mean that web 2.0 properties will have to beef up their support staff to answer such concerns by agencies? Or will those huge web 2.0 sites be slapped too? Will we see a new generation of huge websites as a result of this law? Will the FTC "ask" clickbank to close down all those sites making shaddy claims (most niches including finance, health, travel, energy, etc.) One important question: Can we shift our sites to a server located in the UK / Netherlands to easily prevent any slap or tough measures by the FTC? (I use hostgator, please recommend a reliable UK host to which I can shift on Dec 1st or later, if they take down any of my sites) Will this law compel various dotcom companies to move out of the US to more "liberal" countries? uff.. I have more questions, but its already too much... tanaka took the initiative to open this thread as this topic is of concern to all Clickbankers and other affiliates in general. So can anyone answer these for all of us please? What do you guys think about all this? Thanks..
I noticed that CB force an acceptance of new terms when logging in, this is due to FTC. These rules are crazy. They say you can't have a disclaimer saying "results not average, results may vary". Instead you're supposed to put down some kind of average result under every testimonial??? Clearly CB is trying to cover their butt. They could be worried because officially, CB are the seller and not even the vendors. Basically I know not one internet marketer who knows what the score will be with this in future. Reminds me of when 2257 was brought in for the pr0n industry and nobody knew what to do. As for getting slapped, I had problems if not enough articles. I go for minimum 30 on each site. Also don't use an old domain or wordpress mu. I had a disaster with these.
Good Post! I think this comes in line with many changes about to hit the affiliate industry. It will be both interesting and challenging to see how this will take shape but one think i know for certain : the hill will become steeper for all

Did any of you even check the affiliates page? Both websites use Clickbank as there payment processor. Just visit the affiiliates section and create your hoplink. Took me almost 2 minutes to get my hoplink. Since i am leaving for the day i will not bother to figure out how i will promote these programs. That'll be on the to do list.
It's my habit. Call it my signature signoff. if you will. Like ending e-0mails with my name to those who know me.
Both cb products. Just go to the checkout page when in doubt and see if clickbank is the pmt processor. http://cb-analytics.com/product.php?id=REGMUM
