If you are not able to find out your site even after finding it with your site URL then its not listed for sure. Better start some link building ...

Link building will help...also make use of the Google Sitemap protocol.

You can promote your site in some ways,eg. submit your site directly to google, submit your sitemap.xml to google in google webmaster tools, submit your site to web directories etc. These are what I have done when I created my new site this Feburary and my site was listed in Google within less than two days.

if it's a wrodpress blog make sure you have not left the default "noindex" settings in the blogs admin panel.
other than that post the url so we can have a look rather than have to guess.

adding the site to your sig file here in your posts would help get it index quicker as well.

Site:mysite.com in google search ....replace mysite.com with your website domain name.

register your website with google webmaster tool and submit xml sitemap for better results.
