Did google just changed algortmy?

    For some reason i dropped to 4th position on keyword which i was been first for a year.This dropping started to happen(along with some other)after i readed about google adding loading speed as ranking factor.My sites loading fast but they have a lot of pics so it take some more time to load,it's not instant.But again in that thread it said how that should happen only in 2010 so this doesn't have sense.Any idea what's happening?

    Have you checked your competitor's websites? Maybe they got more quality backlinks from yours. As you said that the new algo will only be on place in 2010.

    I heard the other day that google are changing the way they catch sites
    It will be in real time and not stored data(capture days)

    Not sure did competitors got more backlinks since i was doing nothing entire year while they did yet the position was stable.

    i hope this surprise will be good or un-noticable, otherwise we are all in big trouble.

    I also think that when geocites went down it change lots of results on serp because there where millions of sites in geocities.

    Probably the other sites got more back links than you did. Maybe that's what happened...
