Did Google just Admit your competitor can get you Penalized !!!!

Maybe there killing directory links also, all of my sites with 100+ directory links went up to 3 pr from these links and are now back down to 0

 

Google do not want SEO. They want a true algo that reallly does find the best site. But since sites are all so similar, it will never be.
It is also about control. All big companies need to control, since control is what made them big.

Pagerank has ALWAYS been a part of the SERPs...that's its sole purpose. Don't let people fool you that it's not.

 

It is, but plays very small part in the "getting to the top" process ... even by very competitive keywords.

 

This is also why we sometimes see spam. Some sites are so powerful that even a single page can get indexed quickly due to high PR, and compete with you very quickly, especially if they are old trusted sites. e.g newspapers,

 

Valley, such websites don't sell links. Those that do sell them charge so much so it is way cheaper and more effective to buy many pr0-1 links.

I still think it kind of strange that no one has had the penalty lifted yet. May mean that there is a time factor too?

 

Is the -50 penalty somehow related to the -950 penalty?

Low quality links were supposed "safe"... that's quite a change.
I hope they will come with an official statement or something because it just doesn't make any sense to me.

you can get penitlized for building up links to fast. I know a few buddies that have tools that spam sites and derank them for lontailed searches. Its proven true. But a lot of people still dont belive it, they belive whatever google tells them

 

I think you are correct... I have seen it firsthand, my url is included in a spambots spam... I could link to the example (asking first, the spambot has porn in its spam, am I allowed to put the link to the spambot example here to show exactly what the blackhat/spammers are doing??)


basically, the spambot puts up 2 or 3 porn pictures, with links, then a paragraph of keyword spam, then in micro sized font, a paragrapsh of 100 links to all kinds of sites (they must scrape the links, because my site ended up there, and many other peoples)... the link paragraph is in such a small font that it is unreadable, but the links are picked up by google

I would link to the example of their spam but I think the fact it has porn in it too would make it against the rules to link it here for you to see, but I know that my site that somehow has its url linked by the spammer is doing really poorly in the serps since it started happening, and is actually getting deindexed

 

My site has stayed at PR4 but interal pages have gone up in PR.

The -50 is still in affect though. But is it really a -50 !
Some of my pages do show up in the 3rd page ... so in the 20's
For my main keyword, I show on the 5th page...so in the 40's (used to be on 1st page

But still on the 3rd page for my company name.... which is also in my domain name.... so a penalty is still def there.

 

Absolutely still there.
My sites PR went up too.
Perphaps they want us to sell infected juice????
I have tried to alter my link profile by dropping some links and gaining lower PR ones.
Another thought. What if it is a second sandbox?

No definately not.
Targeting yahoo in a big way at the moment to compensate and have a budget for literally 12 new sites!
But will behave this time
