Did Google introduce something different yesterday?

    2 days ago I checked my backlinks on Google webmaster tools (as I do almost every day) and saw my backlinks were still at 60 - they had recently gone up from 40 - 60 so I was quite happy with myself...

    Well last night I logged in to check my backlinks (and checked them again this morning) and they had jumped to 641. I randomly checked them all and they were mostly valid, except they weren't unique - for example there were about 15-20 from these forums - an individual backlink from each page that I had posted too. There were also backlinks from autorestoration101 website (again every page - about 100) and I have never posted to autorestoration101. When I went to that website I couldn't find my link that Google said I had (I checked through the source code for my website and couldn’t find it).

    Strange...

    It looks like they did. I checked one of my sites, saw that it lost over 800 links and now it's sitelinks are missing. SE traffic seems to be a little down for that site as well.

    I read somewhere that google page rank update is scheduled for this weekend

    I've noticed a big loss in the number of links to one of my sites in google's webmaster tools. my site has been dropping in the rankings for about the last month, from first page to the bottom of the second. i was hoping that this move was temporary, but now i'm not so sure....

    Backlink count in Google Webmaster Tools is always not up-to-date and updates slowly.

    My backlink count jump from 30k to 50k this week :D

    Now Google updation on process and found Webmaster updating always. My BL in webmaster tool is updating weekly 3-4 time

    I just checked mine and noticed that all my blog comment links have been included in my backlinks. This is nice, but does it pass down any juice? We have to wait to find out one the imminent round of PR updates conclude.

    Always the links are falling. I have 39 links in google, but 3500 links in others like yahoo

    same happened with me. backlinks were shown 686 as the same were only 150 almost two days ago. But all the backlinks are intact.
