Hi you see google ads on firefox and firefox with google toolbar. The question is did Google buy Firefox? What is the relationship between the two companies?

Its cuz for Google's close relationship with the Mozilla Foundation!

Google has complained long and hard about Microsoft's advantage in IE, especially when IE7 was released and MSN was the default search.
But it looks like Google has it's tentacles into Firefox at least as much as Microsoft is into IE.

Yup. Infact firefox main developer was hired by Google but I don't think he is with them any more. Google does pay Mozilla foundation a lot of dough to be included as the default search engine but google doesn't own firefox (not yet anyway) :)

Google is on the brink of getting anti-trust suits filed on them with double click buy out.. They won't attract more trouble by going this way:)

Google wants to keep Firefox independent. It looks better for Google if it doesn't control the browser, since that's been a major point of anti-trust concern for Microsoft.
