Did google ban another one?

Just noticed that Ez2Find (www.ez2find.com) has no PR. It comes up as unknown. I go to Google and do a link check for the site. Nothing. A site check. Again nothing. Wonder if this is just something temporary or if they did something naughty.

Seems to have a lot of inbound links to not have a PR.

I would assume its your toolbar or its just a very temporary fluke.

Maybe be just a fluke but its not just my toolbar cause that was my first thought. So I used some of the tools over at seochat.com to check, and it has PR0 on all datacenters and the toolbar.

Seems weird since it has so many high quality incoming links. I doubt its banned, but you never know.

    Hi there,

This Cantufind.com here, we had over 50,000 links pointing into us when we were Cantufind.com-The Orange Pages; and six months ago or so we suddenly went off the map like the example you gave. We had a page rank of 5/6/ and 7 and did nothing wrong or so we thought. We wrote to Google time and again begging them to put us right on what we done wrong and it was only when we seperated Cantufind.com from The Orange Pages.com and made them seperate entities, took all incoming links away and used a robot.txt form did we see ourselves back in their results instantly with a page rank of 5 for Cantufind and 4 for The Orange Pages.

We think it was Big Brother syndrome as we did nothing wrong, or did we? Can Google see anything that poses a threat? Cantufind.com was in the top 50,000 percentile and gaining very quick popularity. Not fake Alexa rankings like half of them are, ours are genuine visitors not some auto-reload page that most unscrupulous seo's or webmasters use to get a good rank with Alexa which does we believe count with Google. We were legitimate and still are. We had to lose over a hundred staff and lost lots of money in revenue but all it took was to actually take down every single piece of site that could conflict with Google's own model and hey presto we are back! But we are an even bigger threat as our search engine is better than Google, well better results we think! Open to debate perhaps? check us out at www.Cantufind.com. So were we the victims of bullying? We told Google in no uncertain terms we were but it seems it fell on deaf ears.

What did work though was to do EVERYTHING they asked in their http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en/webmasters/guidelines.html and with a polite note to advise them of this we were back within 3 days. You work it out for yourselves? Our opinion, even if you think you are doing nothing wrong, in Google's eyes you probably are and they can see a lot more than we think they can! Our advice, submit to Cantufind.com and the other smaller ones, Google will soon be forced to play fair and although we do agree with their views on relevancy, we also believe that if they are going to drop you into what is called the Google sandpit then they should at least have the decency to answer as to why they have done so.

LOL. It does seem like everytime a search engine or directory gets banned by Google, the owners either have no reply or reply with "I did nothing wrong." Just once I'd like to see one of them come out afterwards with "We used every dirty trick in the book and got caught." :D

We did add, "Or so we thought". But honestly, we truly never thought we done anything wrong and it cost us big time when we went 'AWOL' for over six months! :(

Based on looking at your site...think about it for a second. Why would a search engine have results from another search engine? Unless your doing pay for placement I doubt they would index results of your site..besides, I didn't exactly see any doorway links into your site from the index.
