Did G go back to an older index??

I swear I was not dreaming.... I did a search on my Vacation site in Google early this morning and was happy to see it finally got my title and description right. I could even click to see the cache of my site. Before this morning, Google would only list the URL of the site with no title or description of the site.

I just did a search on it again, about 10 hours later, it is back to URL only with no title, no description, no cache. What happened??? Does it always do this? Have you guys noticed?? Was I really dreaming??

google has multiple datacenters. the data (and results you'll get) vary from datacenter to datacenter. this can make it "seem" like things have updated or changed or even reverted, when they really haven't.

you can use http://www.mcdar.net/dance/index.php to check all the datacenters

I would suggest wait for just few days, and you will be back with your title and descriptions. These things do happen all the time with Google

Man I loved those movies! :)

Anyhow, you need to be patient. In dealing with the search engines (especially Google IMHO) you need the have the patience of Job and having the patience of God would be better.

I know it is frustrating waiting for things to 'kick in'; but they do eventually. Just keep working hard at optimizing your site in all areas and getting more backlinks. The older your site gets, you should, with hard work be able to attain to some nice rankings. It's almost like a religious thing, in that you have to have FAITH that in the search engines good old time; that you will rank well if you persevere.

I have been patient, yeah, really :D . Just find Googlebot naughty, showing me the title/description/cache one day and hide them the next day, day after next....and next....
