Did anyone notice a decline in CPM and clickthrough rate on the 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th? Those 4 days for me were about half the rest of the days in the month.
Nope. I recently had one of those 50% days, but they happen from time to time. Maybe G is withholding suspicious clickthrus (which you'll see credited back at the end of the month) ? I've had that on occasion. Cheers, JL
Yup - no significant changes in any of the major search engines. Might have just been temporary. Who knows.
That last 2 days have been about 50% EPC. I am hoping the above statement is true, in my case. You have to believe that this happens frequently. If Google's software flags suspicious activity, then you will be investigated. This may take some time, hence a delay in earnings. Makes sense to me.
I noticed some changes along the lines you describe during that period on my Adwords account. Couldn't tell you about Adsense.
Maybe there is a drop in advertisers - this is the end of the quarter, and maybe some ad budgets are running out.
Wow. I got hit yesterday and today. Traffic down by 50%, EPC Up and CTR Up enough to make up for it though.
I'm glad I came here and found out that it's not just me. Yes, I noticed a significant decline for those same days, too. Patty
Since Sunday my impressions are the same, clicks are the same. CPM 50% less than it has been in the past, effecting overall earnings significantly. I am also noticing that Google is shuffling SERPs bigtime. On Sunday my rankings dropped many positions. I am now convinced that Shawn's post about Serps and AS earnings having relationship is true.
No change for me, since Monday every day has been a record without any sudden increase in traffic, just better CPC & CPM. Have you got a link to that thread you mentioned re: adsense/serps relationship, I had a look and couldn't find it.
Me too. I was a nay-sayer at first. But I've come to notice something similar. Once the next PR/BL update takes place, I hope to have better earnings.
Im still seeing volitility. One day its normal, the next it's off by half, yet my traffic is about the same. All I can guess is that the bigger advertisers are conserving cash for the end of the quarter, which ends in a week. If this is true it should be back to normal in 2 weeks after the new quarter begins.
the amount i am earning per click has totally PLUMETTED big time... not sure if it is related to me writing postings that are lower payout keywords or if it is end of quarter related. or if they are only clicking on the very low paying ads... this sucks
