That is probalby because this was based on fact, not fiction. I'm not denying that some artistic license had to have been used. What I am saying is that they relied on the officers accounts, not Charlie Sheen's, or Michael Moore's. Yeah, we found out later that day that my cousin who drives subway trains was called and told to stop just short of the North Tower. They spent 4 hours underground calming passengers, and eventually evacuating. Talk about scary. He was underground and had no idea what was going on. My grandmother worked in the WTC for 15 years. I'm just glad she did not live to see them fall.
I know I hate looking at the skyline of new york now, either on TV or on shows. It looks so empty. Its hard to imagine, that in 30 or 40 years, when people watch Friends (or any other NY based show) and it shows the Twin towers in the background, people may say - what are those? I've never seen em before.
i took a picture few month before 9/11 when i was riding a bus on brooklyn bridge. That was the last time i saw WTC
That's what parents are for. My child was concieved in NYC in 2003 and I will be sure to remind him of what was every day! I took my wife on a trip there to see what a great city it was and still is, towers or not. The view from Liberty Island was quite sad this time around though!
thank you very much for tha input mia. you made me want to watch the movie. and i will once it opens here in our place
I agree w. the sentiment of not enjoying the skyline of the city. I sort of doubt people will be saying hey what are those 2 big buildings...Sort of a famous event, even if one has had their head up in the sand. http://www.carrollcommunications.com/Images/a.JPG 3:31PM 9/11 Good review--- no chance of me seeing the movie though.
