Did anyone else recieve a PM like this today?

Do you know how many threads would be started if we started one for every PM we received that was spam?

If you receive one go here to find a moderator's name and just forward it to one of them. They will ban the guy fast. I was one of the first to receive that PM because it looked like he started at A. I forwarded it and as soon as the mod got on, she banned the user.

There is no way to prevent all spam but if the mods can not handle it if they do not have the PM.

 

1. Deleted the Pm
2. Can I suggest next time not to put the URL to prevent traffic going in if you believe the pm is spammy. It just brings in more traffic to the spammed msg.

yep...I realized this too late and tried to edit the post .......didnt work

If the guys been banned then why did I just get another post....same text, different poster....I think its the 5th or 6th now

 

Let the mods know. Apparently the guy is creating another dup account. The mods can check against IPs and ban the IP.

 

Yep, got this two days ago too..

 

i also spammed by this person. he uses new username again.

 

I got the same PM 2 times from different persons. Both had 0 posts ...

 

I got it. Already deleted!

 

If this person is spamming with different Users you guys need to list the names pubicly and or report the to the mods so they may take care of this repeat offender. If you do not know how to report here is the link to all the mods.

Otherwise everyone that just replies to this post saying "yeah I got the pm" or "yeah he spammed me again" and not reporting it is just adding a post count to themselves and not helping DP to get rid of such people.
