Did anyone else Move their domains from Godaddy, after they initially supported SOPA?

I think i might move my domains, what is a better registrar than Godaddy that NEVER supported SOPA?

    Thanks,

    -C

Lots of people moved over to NameCheap, which was against SOPA from the start. I still have a mix of domains at GoDaddy, and it would be a pain to move them to a new location.

I think only those webmasters should be worried to host their domains with Godaddy who have some warez or file sharing websites, am I right?

The reason that many people moved their domains, was the principle, that GoDaddy would support legislation that would give our government the power to arbitrarily take down a webmasters site, if one of the users of the site posted copyrighted materials to it.

Namecheap is the best in my opinion. They have something called LIVE SUPPORT and another thing called CHEAP WHOIS PRIVACY. I guess these are the 2 key points for me to like Namecheap.

Anyone who ever supported SOPA/PIPA, has serious issues! It pisses me off that Godaddy supported them. I have a shitload of domains with them.

I moved my domain ages before this SOPA support that Godaddy gave. The reason is because Godaddy is crap, has a very bad interface & always a million upsells just to reg a name.

If you purchased Domain Privacy through GoDaddy for your domain you should turn it off before you transfer the domain. That means you will have to find your Domains By Proxy login information. It should be in an email you got when you purchased your domain.

I was considering moving all of my domain names but then I realized that would take hours if not days. You would really have to hate GoDaddy to spend that much time trying to spite them.

All the other major reputable registrars besides Godaddy. Such as Name.com, Dynadot, MyDomain, Moniker, etc.

It's really up to personal choice. All of the above are the main big reputable registrars.
