    Hello all

    I purchased a domain name from 1and1?
How much time does they take to register my order??

I fear someone could register some where else before 1and1 people process my order?

why do they have this lag??

I've bought a few through them and not had any trouble. I think I got the confirmation next day? What displays for the domain address? If its a 1and1 holding page, you've got it. (like this one http://www.theorchidrooms.com/ ) :)

Nothing is being displayed as of now.Even my paypal balance is not reduced...
    Hope everything would go fine.

I didn't had this one while registering a domain name at godaddy
    They were instantaneous.

what if someone registers the domain name at other registrar?
Coz still it is showing as available while searching at godaddy

If you really want it, and you think someone else could snap it up in the next 24 hours, go back to GoDaddy. A small price difference on registration fee is irrelevant in the scheme of things.

Check this, but I guess 1and1 can't charge you if they fail to get the domain. Actually, I think they will get it even if you go to GoDaddy. Let me know what happens.

    Finally i went with Godaddy.com :)

I didn't got a mail from 1and1 regarding my order. As they didn't claimed any payment....i just canceled their agreement in "Paylist"

I am lucky enough to have those domains unregistered.Later i went to godaddy and got registered. They were instantaneous and very easy to setup.

1&1 is the worst Registrar on the net.
They automatically Auto-Renew even if you don't want it then if you let the domain go they turn it over to a collection agency and try to ruin your credit.
That just 1 of the things they pull, stay FAR away from them and pay an extra dollar with a good registrar..
