I have a site ranking well on the first page of Yahoo, Google and MSN since November 2006. And just 1 week ago, my site in Yahoo dropped to page 4. I did not mind it for a week expecting it to jump back up, but it looks like it is not going back. Anyone have the same experience or has any ideas why this could be happening?
I had my website listed in the #3 page about 10 days ago, but now can't find it in the first 10 pages.
How's your site doing hhheng? because mine went back to page 1. I was just wondering if yours went back to page 3 and if this was happening with other sites. My site was gone on page one for about 6 days, and it came back.
Yes it also happened to me.. I went to page 4 and back to page 1. Ofcourse I started building links cuz i got scared. But I don't think it's the reason why I got back in my spot..
Yeah, links don't work that fast... Yahoo is interesting, I think it pays more attention to the selectiveness of users - and thus reshuffls its serps.
Yeah i had no.1 pos in Yahoo for ages and ages, now it's droped to No.29? strange, as i have added even more high pr links to my site? -
I've been #1 for my site for awhile now, but I haven't done anything to it really. I update it once in awhile, I never use black hat or 'gray hat' tactics, and I submit articles VERY irregularly. It's a really small site too, with not too many backlinks and only 40-ish pages. Maybe my secret is that I'm consistently inconsistent.
"And it was at that time that I thought about Thomas Jefferson writing that Declaration of Independence. Him saying that we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I thought about how he knew to put the 'pursuit' in there, like no one can actually have happiness. We can only pursue it."

guitarpaul, I'm competing with 67,800,000 other results and I'm #1 for my home page and #9 for a second page for one of my key phrases. I know that's not much, but I didn't start off with a highly competitive phrase cause I knew I'd get my ass kicked. Now that I'm ranking fairly well for a lot of my keywords, I'll try upping the ante. And what's with this screensaver thing at the end of your posts?
one of my sites use to be in the top 10 now its somewhere between 20-30. i think i should add more content. yahoo prefers sites with more content.
I would say 67m+ is a huge competition, and am even more impressed now This screensaver thing I just found out is some sort of spyware that got on my other computer, and it links to a .scr file (makes it automatically append to any post I did). Crazy, I didn't know they had spyware like that. Fixed now..
