I've had a couple of ads awaiting approval for 20 hours now...

    I know it's a free tool, and I can't moan - but look. I am! :)

Dude its like being a dmoz editor... you just dont get to it asap since its not a paid job. Give them a break, they are doing this for free!

Main problem is that once the cue is cleared someone bombs the network with another 50 ads, so it is just a never ending task

Just be patient... the coop is quite popular so there are loads of ads that need to be reviewed all the time

My last one took 30 ish hours if it helps? I'd donate money to the ad reviewers time but my $50 divided by 50 ad reviewers probably doesn't cut it ;)

30 hours seems almost instantaneous compared to the 2-60 month wait for a DMOZ listing. :D

the editors are doing great work, they are not only approving the sites quickly, but also make sure only high quality site get into coop.

For example one of my sites was rejected with a very useful explanation: "your site sucks"

    :D :D :D

nope, but it was funny :D

I had a couple sites rejected for certain reasons, like bad title, short description etc..

heh I can't even manage my little directory, it has hundreds of unapproved submissions all the time :(
