Did a DP member sell a site for $25-30 million?

I'm sure I read of someone who was a DP member selling a site for that much, I can't remember what the site was though anyone know what site it was it was pretty big news at the time but I think it was a few years ago now, this DP member spent all his time buying links in the BST sections so he wasn't well known around the rest of the forum.

Does anyone know what the site was?

 

There were a few and I don't remember the url but it was a MMORPG I belive.

 

Yeah I can't even remember the type of site I just rememebr the fact that they only used DP to buy links to rank for some really competitive keywords. I guess if have $20k to buy links you can do anything. I think that's my goal to create a business I can sell for a multi-million dollar deal, I just need to get a real plan together and a mid 5 figure budget.

 

lol, that's it huh! $500,000 and a plan. AHAHA, that means you need everything.

Actually to be honest I'm making a GDD, NDA, bus. plan, and for a $60,000 and its going to take me at least 6 months to finish the idea.

 

You'd be surpised what you can do if you have half an ounce of sense and money to play with

 

That's really a huge amount, I don't think it was such a huge one, it would have been $1Million

 

Why not? $1m is chump change for a lot of web assets online. I bet total collection of online assets would be worth something between $5-10 trillion.

 

Realistically speaking most people are mutants trying to grab $20 here and there online. lol

 

Yeah working 10 hours to earn $20 a day in adsense is beyond logical sense to me.

 

Well, that's an high amount, but not impossible at all for a site.

 

of course not www.mandmdirect.com turns over £100 million a year how much is that site worth well it's not just the site it's a whole company but I'd say something between £30 - £100 million depending on what margins they are working off.
