Dahi handi was famous in places like Dwarka et. But now just to attract youths, collect money, get political power, etc. such festivals are glorified, and magnified by interested persons.

Poor fellow, unlike in Pakistan, fortunately for us, we have access to safety tools, equipments and mechanisms that prevent crash landing here in India.

 

Yes still for what I have seen on youtube people do it without any safety! if they fall they can get hurt or die too.
