Dex Search Marketing = Google/Yahoo Local??????

A salesmen from Dex told us that if we sign up for Dex Advertising, It will help our clients businesses get listed in the Google and Yahoo local search results (Local search results for.....).

Is this true?

I couldn't confirm it without trying them out but it looks like thats what they are offering. However I know from by personal experience that Google confirms your address through a PIN code they send in a postcard. So I bet the service won't be fully automated for you.

 

So no word on how the big boys (Google, Yahoo) generate the "local results for....."

 

You can manually submit your business to the local search engines. However the service your talking about is saying they will sort of automate the submissions.

Thanks man. I had a feeling that advertising with DEX will come with benefits, but i don't think that the funny looking guy with the TIE doesn't know about SEO.
