Ok, do you all think it would be best to put all of your eggs into one basket and only stick to developing a few websites. This could allow you to put your efforts more into these specific few sites and maybe make them more successful.
So basically these few sites would eventually be developed with many pages.

    or

Develop as many smaller sites as possible and spread yourself thin. Where you would not be able to focus as much on each when it comes to promotion & new pages etc.

*I am asking this question as a webmaster who is going for LONG TERM stability, as well as profit and success

I agree with Sensei. Put your focus on getting a few sites profitable and then add more. You might also want to consider starting with say 5 or 10 sites, get them up and profitable, watch the numbers, hang on to the more profitable sites and flip the others, then do the same thing over. You'd be keeping the most profitable sites and still make money/cut your losses on the others by selling the less profitable sites. To get the most form any site there must be constant promotion and constant fresh content...that takes time unless you can afford to outsource.

It really depends on your strategy, niche, competition, strengths, weaknesses, etc...

If you are in the business of making a little from each site like Kevin Ham, who owns 300,000 domain names, then you have to own a lot of domains and sites. But if you own a high traffic site like DP, you only need 1.

For me,i prefer 100% focus on the single website at each time.
Coz this will make me not loss my focus on the website.
And this will make my site more content rich coz i only write for the single website.
But the downside of this is the earning is less compare to having many site run at each time.

I have decided to park most of my domains.

I will focus on developing 2-3 at a time and leave the rest parked until I come up with a good idea or get time to develop them.

I'm developing 3 (maybe 4) sites at one time and making them high quality. It difficult. I wouldn't want to juggle any more than that, I'd end up with a bunch of half-assed sites. But that's just me. Others may be capable of doing that.
