Hey DP Crew, I have a couple of domain names that up to recently were parked at Sedo, no great earners but trickles of money, but i understand that if i develop them especially possly slightly better keyword domains i have like : www.dlptelevision.com Then i can stand to earn more money than parking? Firstly am i write in thinking this? Secondly in order to develop, can this be as simple as to have a 3-4 page html template with meta tags, keywords, and google adsense (for the revenue?) Let me know your thoughts as im keen to move forwards with, but dont want waste my time going down the wrong road like ive done before. Marc
I did this for a lot of subdomains and it worked fine. Didn't make a fortune but on average $2 per day off of adsense which is $60 per month.
Yes, creating minisites is a much smarter decision than parking. You'll get better rankings, better payoff (since there's no parking company taking a share in your clicks) and you can keep expanding the site as time goes on until it gradually gets larger.
Creating mini-sites is a great option and beats parking hands down. However there are some things you need to make sure you do such as integrate unique and relevant content. You will also need to build backlinks to get the search engine rankings up and get visitors to the website. If you put a bit of time and effort in you could begin seeing much better results than parking so it is well worth it.
Yep. It's also worth mentioning development INCREASES traffic and revenue if done right, whereas parking just leverages existing traffic.
Some of the highest revenue sites are very, very small. A minisite like that would count as a full site too if you took the time to market it
Even a one page site is better than parking, I tripled my earnings by making a one page site with some content for my domains.
Out of curiosity to all of the mini-site builders - what's the minimum number of pages you can have to use Adsense without worrying about getting backlash from them? Is that explained in their TOS? I didnt see anything. I usually do 5 as a minimum, but I want to start cranking out sites quickly, and some domains are really difficult to get content for.
As long as you have Privacy, TOS, and a way to contact you, there wont be a problem with actual amount of pages that contain their ads.
