Developing a WP Plugin - Need opinions on what to add

Hi Guys,

I have been creating mini blog sites and a blog network for a while now and I just stumbled across a cool plugin that automatically does the mundane task when you create a new blog. It doesn't quite do what I need so I am going to create my own version but I thought I may as well make a decent one that others might like to use as well.

So my question is what task would you want a plugin to do when creating a brand new wordpress site? I have listed the changes I need but let me know if there is anything else you would like to see:

- delete sample post/pages/comments
- Remove comment notifications
- Activate Askimet and add api
- Create pages (about, contact us, privacy policy, terms of Use, Earnings disclaimer)
- Create Menus
- Changes permalinks to "post"
- Uploads chosen theme
- Adds neccessary plugins (google sml sitemaps, allinseo)

Anything else you guys can think of to make the process easier? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

 

Adds the jetpack plugin too. I found it really helpful lately

 

I suggest your plug in should be able to have the following functions:
- Auto upgrade all other plugins to the newest versions when ever there are new versions available.
- Auto detect if any broken links in your post
