Determining what is fair to charge advertisers

I see this topic has been asked many times and after researching this forum I'm still at a loss.

Hopefully someone kind talk to me like a 5th grader and perhaps my brain can finally grasp the formula, if there is one?

    My question is 3 fold.

First how can I determine what would be fair to charge advertisers? Next, any suggestion on what types of advertising would be best for all concerned and finally is there a company that could help and not be a hog?

Our website Smartcarofamerica.com currently realizes over 1,000,000 unique visits per month. Our newsletter has over 15,000 opt-in members; our Smart Car forum has a membership of 9,500, and the site has 12,000 register members.

The site is North America's longest running most trusted “independent” Smart Car Internet Company with eight years of the Smart community's confidence, and a clearly committed audience.

Today our AdSense, with 8 hour remaining has had 46,257 page impressions and 1,777 clicks and for Wednesday, January 9, it was 46,534. The site has averaged around 20,000 page impressions for the last year.

The page CTR and eCPM are very good and our Google revenues do well. We also use Kontera and it too does well.

Any help would be a start. Thanks

Your website isn't loading over here.... in IE7

Check your adsense account and look at the CPM you get. This is the fairest way as this is the CPM that you currently deliver! Then charge you client the same or a bit more...

Another way would be for you to check out your advertisers cost on adwords or at least try to assess it by looking at the minimum CPM bid you clients currently pays to be well positionned. This is also a fair way and you can't be too wrong as using this, you will adapt your price to your advertisers budget.

These are the fairest way and your customers will be happy to come back for repeat business.
