determining the worth of a domain?!

    hi guys,
    i am very new to domain names.i am keen to know the methods/ tools for determining the exact worth of a domain in terms of price and short/long term profitability.
    you are most welcome to share your experiences and any suggestions you may have regarding same.     :confused:

    There are domain appraisal services available that will provide you information on any domain and I am sure they should be able to tell you the methods they use for determining the worth of a domain

    domain value largely depends on the quality.

    some factors:
    - short name
    - exact keyword that could generate lot of conversions
    - easy to remember

    exactly, but you can have a short name, but once it won't drive any traffic it's useless

    Even though short names are valued some other domains like del.icio.us still attract peoples.
