I've heard you guys talk about focusing on keywords that are high-converting, which I assume means high CTR. How can I tell the difference between high and low-converting keywords?

    Thanks!

You can usually hit the nail on the head using a good PPC reporting system like Adwords for the keywords you trying to target. They show you all the CTR's right beside each keyword you run a campaign on. You might need to spend a little money, but it will tell you what people like an overall CTR, plus you might get some leads/sales just getting a grasp on the ones you're wanting to target.

If you have the time and don't want to advertise to find out the information, you can use a system like Clicktracks or others that give you weighted percentages of what people click and don't click on within your site, include a simple conversion tracking script on thank you or confirmation order pages, and I'm sure there are many other ways... These are just the few off the top of my head.

Basically, any tool with click analytics will tell you the info. or simply running a few ads to get the info.

I always say though to target what you offer though, not just the high converting keywords. they may or may not be right for your service/product or may not match the landing page you're ending traffic.

Ohh, okay I see. So I guess the conversion rate isn't so much about the keyword itself, it's more about finding out what visitors interested in your content tend to click on. Thanks for the info
