So all these pagerank tools are making me nuts, but I found one more that is actually kind of a nice one. It comes in 3 different version. 1: Check Live Pr in your Mozilla browser 2: Put a code on your site and display live PR 3: Check Live PR on their site. So what is the URL? Simply visit: Raket Forskning and start having fun boys and girls I also wrote about it in my blog including a picture of how it looks in your browser: Live pagerank plugin
On a futher note to nintendo, the prediction tools do not always correctly extract the <RK> Tag. I saw your post about the predictor http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=56380 and your shock that your nintendo website was scheduled to jump to PR7 from PR3. However, if you examine the XML generated http://64.233.161.99/search?client=navclient-auto&ch=6149083264&q=www.n-i-n-t-e-n-d-o.com The PR predictor thought you were www.nintendo.com and gave you the <RK> tag for them ie. a 7 When in all actuallity you are nowhere to be found on the list.
@Marcus Westberg Is this tool trustworthy enough to rely on the results given? I have this feeling a lot of these tools are not accurate.
I think no tool out there is 100% reliable. I will post in my blog and compare predicted results to actual pagerank results once the update occurs.
The same people that are trying to figure out current PR in this format are the same ones that come up with crazy pictures by folding a $20 in different ways. Lay off the weed and just wait until the update. But.......... If someone ever does figure it out and is accurate then their site will become very popular by all the people who care about PR. So it could be worth trying to figure out.
There will always be people that want to check future PR even if they know that it´s not 100% accurate. As long as people have an interest for getting high pagerank there will always be people that trying to figure out how Pagerank is calculated. Let us hope that some weed smoker comes up with a real tool that´s proven to work.
Thanks for that I cheked my new website on that I am work very hard on SEO : www.usa-online-pharmacy.biz and XML data say me that I have on that website PR6 and I see 0 on toolbar Very, very interesting
It always amazes me how people will take the time to post, and argue their point of view, without actually taking the time to understand the concept. Let me just clarify a few things here ... 1. This thread is NOT about pagerank prediction tools. We all know they suck. 2. This thread is NOT about "how unlikely Google is to reveal their algorithm". 3. This thread is NOT about whether it is right or wrong to obsess about PR. Perhaps we can stick to the topic, and comment on <RK> and the other interesting things to be found.
Pagerank Predictor Tool The tool above automatically searches for the <RK> assigned to your website and if it is found, it is displayed as the future pagerank. If on the other hand, <RK> isn't found, it simply displays Unknown. I thought i'd let everyone know this to make life a lot easier. You don't need to manually look for the <RK>, the tool does this for you.
I've played with the data some on my own and with the tool posted above and both are getting mixed results. For one of my sites which is currently a PR4 it switches back and forth between a live PR of 4 and 7. Keep the input coming. This is kinda fun to play even if it's not a big deal.
If this is indeed accurate, it may be of interest to you folks that you are not limited to 10 results. You can cycle through by 20, just like normal search results, add http:// (pay attention to "num" and "start" ---> 216.239.51.104/search?num=20&q=www.n-i-n-t-e-n-d-o.com&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&output=protocol4&client=navclient-auto&start=22&sa=N&ch=6149083264 I also get slight changes when you mess around nav-client, or in this case, leave &features= empty : 216.239.51.104/search?num=100&q=www.n-i-n-t-e-n-d-o.com&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&output=&client=navclient-auto&start=22&sa=N&ch=6149083264&features Interesting... so you could write a script to query until you hit your domain... or if someone figures out what all this crap is : Level? Is that if it's going to be a sub-listing in the results? Links? I wonder if there are more interesting ways to get it to format the output? Oh, you can also set features=link and summary and such to only see that.. interesting.
It's almost like, you could have your own web browser that doesn't receive html from google, but xml, or just the raw textual output. Maybe that's what one of their new tools does? I haven't looked into this much, so I could be complete wrong
Create a checksum for site:www.mysitename.com and create the xml file on that. That's what I've been doing for ages now. You can actually pass pretty much any parameters that you can to google. IE you can see the RK for pages linking to you by creating a checksum for link:www.mysitename.com

S Description SZ Size of page CID cache ID Observations on RK values. RK values doe not match TBPR of each url. Interesting thing about this listing is the number 8 spot. It does not contain have link from google search page. Comments/additions/corrections welcome.
The future pageRank tool at http://www.searchengineengine.com/ uses the RK and there is a brief discussion there, too. Ive looked at it several times over the last few months. The RK value definitely changes often. The interesting part of that site is that they provide the source code for creating your own tool to extract the RK values.
