Detecting forum referrers with Analytics

I get a lot of forum referalls to my site which is tracked with analytics and I'd like to look at the threads that are pointing to my postings.

The problem is that analytics seems to trim the parameters that tell you which thread it is, so the referrer looks like www.forum.com/showthread.php

The "t=245356" gets trimmed, so I can't tell which thread it is.

    any way around this?

there is not way to find out the full link
most forum has search function so you can just do a search on the URL of your site

You can find out by going to:
    - Marketing Reports
    - Visitor Segment Performance
    - Referring Source
Find the site that is refering you visitors, next to it click the Red Arrow Circle:
    - Analysis Options
    - Expand Cross Segment Performance
    - Click Content

and that should give you the full path on the refering site. It's a bit long winded but works.

That what I've been doing but it truncates the url parameters which indicate which specific thread the referral came from

Sorry I see what you mean, you might have to resort to raw log files or another analysus program.
