Is there anyone who can share the most updated details about Penguin? I need all the official news about it.

Google released the Penguin update a couple weeks ago, in an effort to rid its search engine results of webspam. The update targeted the kinds of things Google has always tried to rid its results of, but the update is supposed to make Google algorithmically better at it. That, combined with the ever-refreshing Panda update, could go a long way to keep Google’s results closer to spam-free than in previous years.

Thanks for the reply! I'm just curious about where you guys find these updates? Is there any official news by Google when it has a new update (like Penguin & Panda)? I've checked their blog but could not find anything. Is all these news coming from some third party resources?

This is the new update from Google. Penguin Update has been launched to get rid of WEBSPAM. For protecting your site from the slap of Penguin you will have to follow these following tips:

    1. Avoid hidden text or hidden links.

    2. Don’t use cloaking or sneaky redirects.
    3. Don’t send automated queries to Google.

    4. Don’t load pages with irrelevant keywords.
    5. Don’t create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
    6. Don’t create pages with malicious behavior, such as phishing or installing viruses, trojans, or other badware.

    7. Avoid “doorway” pages created just for search engines, or other “cookie cutter” approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.

    8. If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.

Google penguin is all about wrong back links placed on the fake sites. Quality content is another issue.
