I have been keeping up with my blogs. I now have 4. I like video games, so I figured a playstation and xbox blog wouldn't be too hard to maintain. Right about new years everyone wants to lose weight, so I thought a weight loss blog would make a good niche. Recently I decided to try an internet marketing blog, with free ebooks, software, and resources. Most of the ebooks I got from a friend of mine, and have giveaway rights. So it isn't like I am pushing affiliate link filled garbage. Question #1 If I post links to relevant content with a simple description, is that considered a good way to go? I am not much of a writer. For example. Say I was posting on my blog about this site. It would be something along the lines of TITLE---->digitalpoint.com<------ BODY----> A terrific site to learn all about the ins and outs of adsense. Click here <----- And upon clicking the reader would be taken here to the site. Question #2 I submit my Blogs to the major search engines on a regular basis. I have feedburner feeds on them. I claimed all of them on technorati. I am listed on blogarama and bloggeries.I added my feeds to yahoo, and have software that pings all the major sites, hundreds of them, and I run it after every daily post. ( I post 2 items every day per blog.) I am indexed by google. their cache of my sites are usually only a day or two old. Is there anything else I could be doing to draw traffic to my sites ? I sit here and read and stare and look and think. What can I do ? Tell me please. Any advice or measure I can take to be pro active in getting people to my blogs, please let me know. Am I doing something wrong ? Am I missing something important ? Question #3 Some suggestions were made to me concerning the placement of my adsense as well as the colors. I implemented these. Let me know if my ad placement is sufficient, or if I should change something. I will take every suggestion seriously. I am sure most people here know a lot more than I. Thank you very much. Are you earning anything with those blogs? By the looks of it you're just trying to make as many blogs as you can to earn. Concentrate on just one blog that you really like. Submitting to search engines and web dir is healthy but you cannot really get much traffic there. On my blog card-magic.blogspot.com, I reached the no. 1 position in MSN in just 3 weeks of hard work. I earn an average of $3 per day and my blog isn't even fully indexed by Google yet. Here's what I did: 1. I search "magic tricks" on Google. 2. I saw MagicTricks.com which ranks no. 3. 3. Luckily, the site engages link exchange and my site is up a day after I ex link with them. That's where most of my traffic are. Other Methods: 1. Link exchange in Link Market 2. Submitting articles in ezinearticles, goarticles, articlecity, isnare.com Bottomline, concentrate on just one blog. That's what matters in the long run. I'll bet you'll delete most of your blogs if you got sick of them. Good Luck!
Very good tips digiman for the blogers and the "webmasters" here I think Google is the most traffic search engine that you can find so try to work hard to get good rank in Google.
If you want to build up traffic, the best thing to do is build links. So follow the advice from adsenseaddict and look up others in your niche. Send them a nice e-mail with why they should link to you, or write a post that they would be interested in, and send a link to that to them.
I don't like how your things are layed out and stuff. Like when I see the world of weight loss its a little annoying that big box of google ads, too many dark blue links. That black search box its black, thats kind of weird. If you want to include the search it has to fit in with the rest of the site. Example. Unless you went with an all black type of site then it would be fine. Your playstation love site is pretty cool, on first site though (@ 1024 x 768) you see no content, so one might leave the site immediately. And the blue is alright, I would go for a darker blue though for proper contrast. If you like those big boxes for adsense ads go with a layout like this: http://bestfunnyvideos.blogspot.com Otherwise I say stick to the classic skyscraper style ads.
I only went to your gaming blog, so I dont know about the others. Regarding question #1 I think the way you have the links are appropriate. Tee only problem I can foresee is that you will not accumulate a lot of content on your own site, and therefore not do well for SE traffic. Question #2 I agree with MikeD. You need to constantly build links. Check out the directory forums here, there are always people advertising their directories as well as other link development ideas. Question #3 I think this blog has ads placed to make money, so if that's what you're after then you're ok with me. ~You might want to consider building your blogs on your own domains while they're still young. I know of a few people who started building up their blogs like you are doing, and blogger wiped them out. You'll do much better with your own domains.
