    Hi,
Sorry im a a newbie when it comes to PPC although somewhat experienced in SEO practices and have a question, if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I have just taken over a SEO clients PPC account which has been running for the last 12 months and is in quite a mess. I have taught myself the basics of PPC but im having a big problem with changing the destination URL of the individual keywords. They have been set up already by the person before me with forwarding for individual keywords. I know how to change the destination URL in the keywords section of Adwords but they are all set to blank so there must already be re-directing going on somewhere else. Can anyone explain?? Was this doen when the group/keyword was set up and if so where is the otpion to change it??
Can anyone please let me know how this is happening and the option to set the destination URL for the keyword/group

    Thanks in advance

You set the destination url through the actual ad itself, not by the keywords.

If you change the dest url your ads will have to be re-approved and you will lose data. I suggest you create a new campaign and get your new dest urls approved, then pause the older campaign. This will give you comparative data for old and new dest urls.

You can set a destination url at keyword level, and that over-rides the destination set in the ad. If you don't set one at keyword level, then the one at ad level is used.

You will just have to edit the destination URL at the Ad (ignore the keyword tab for this)

I would suggest you don't follow Zhooms recommendation - by creating a new campaign history you will lose the campaign history. I always try to avoid moving keywords as they often drop quality score when I do it. I would create a new ad within the same ad group if you're going to do it, with the same display URL if you don't want to lose quality score.

You can change destination URL at the keyword level. However, I would discourage doing so. Should really be at the ad level. If you have a keyword in a group that needs to go to a different landing page, it very likely does not belong in that group.
