Despite pr4 there is no traffic !

    What should be done when you have pr 4 but no traffic. Detailed stepwise answer will be appreciated.

    We'd need alittle more inf on this. What is doing what "should be done"?

    Also what kind of website is it? Some keywords / niches are ALOT more competitive than others.

    PR and your rankings are not related. Get a few links from unrelated sites, your PR will go up but your rankings will not improve

    Its a e-commerce jewelry site. Has lot of contents. submitted to 500+free directories, about 10+articles submission to 5 articles directories, reciprocal links from 30 theme related sites.
    How to get high rankings as there is no traffic yet despite pr4?

    PR is pretty much useless, it only matters where you rank in the SERP's. What keywords are you optimizing for, and how do you stack up against your competitors? That's where you get traffic. You could get a site to PR6-7 and get no traffic, if you're only optimized for non-traffic keywords.

    I would recommend using something like Adwords Analyzer/Keyword Elite/Good Keywords and finding keywords that have decent searches with small competition, and trying to get ranked higher in the SERP's for those searches.
