Laptops eats less power and are often expensive if you want a good one. I just build my desktop from components and it cost 350€. So for 350€ you can't get very good laptop. So I prefer desktops.

Destops are good for games and big applications and of course laptops are good for portability, travaling, work, college etc.

You have to answer yourself what will u be using it for mostly? (games, graphics, work, etc)

Where will you use it?How portable should it be? (only in specified room, at work, etc)

When you done it, then you can work out what to get for yourself!

It really depends on the work being done on the computer. Laptops are kind of nice because you can sit on a couch or something.

if u are a programmer, laptop - is your choice. PC is for gamers.
I am programmer therefore laptop is for me the best solution. Why? Because 1.laptop Is portable, 2.keyboard and display is very suitable for work.

If you need mobility, the laptop is your obbligated choice, but if you want a fast hd or vga and a big screen without spending too much, go for the desktop

Desktop > Laptop in many areas unless you travel a lot and need a gadget to ease up your work.
