I would just like peoples opinions on some of my designs and techniques From frozen to metal effects and water droplets I love designing things for people and was wondering if you could give me some feedback -Skot
Hey, I like them all (especially the droplet one), however I'm not the biggest fan of the middle one, with all the bright colors. Something about it just makes me think its a bit pre-schooly...I dunno, lol! Good job otherwise!
They look good, as for the colourful 1 its not something that would get used often but its good to show your skills. I think you have done this well.
Thanks everyone, I must admit, I have never ever used so many colours in one design before, so it was a little experiment to see what came out the other side, and the result, a rainbow! lol.
yeah..that a good start..but in my opinion you should see more great art and effect in Deviantart where all the best designers from all over the world get together and sharing their artwork..I believe if you be the one of them, you will be as good as them.. practice make perfect..
Heres some of my nitpicking: I think you need to cut back on color dodge/burn on the second Amanda. The radial motion blur makes the text hard to read and messes up the two shapes you have on the right. The third design is slightly low quality. Kinda blurry. Blending styles (especially big black to white bevels) by themselves on text is generally a bad idea. The random picture of the person that fades off, as well as the shapes that fade off are slightly random. But the biggest issue I have with this is the colors are just too bright. Water droplets are pretty cool, but can I suggest: 1. save leaf picture as .psd 2. go to water droplet layer, then go to filter>distort>displace and select your leaf.psd. this'll make it a lot more realistic. the fusion one is pretty good, just two minor nitpicks: fusion looks grainy, like its a gif and the ice on the dot on I is hanging strange-ly. keep on working at it!
Fusion is the best. The rest looks just fine. Playing with so many colors is good but the rainbow one doesn't work well here. Looks pre-schooly like Danives said. But, good stuffs anyway.
Nice work Skot. I would like to suggest some improvements on your work. Leaf / water droplets : You should reduce the black shadow to make it more real. the Rainbow Amanda : I guess it would be better if you have the Amanda words it's own rainbow. Armed yourself with tons of brushes, texture and gradients. Keep on good work! regards. Arief
i like the water drops.. the rest look like standard photoshop tutorials... feel free to throw some cool grunge brushes in the background... it gives things some depth and a more modern feel... several of these are very 1996 in that regard...
