I will qualify the title by saying in all honesty that i have created a website, and i know i am still in the early days but nevertheless i have a website up and running and it was not as hard as i had expected it to be. So it realy need not be difficult to design a website. All it takes is a little help from others who have gone before and you can learn from the mistakes made by others so that you can avoid the pitfalls. So i will share my experiences with you as i go allong myself and i hope that if you have any hangups about website creation i will be able to put your mind at rest because as they say if i can do it anybody can and i mean that sincerely
Did you use any software to design your website, like net objects fusion or did you write all the html yourself? I am really interested in learning about web creation. Any advice helps.
It's not hard to get the basics of html and apply a bit of CSS. Though the important part is understanding what it is your doing and how it all ties up together. Then learning OOP languages both server side and client side. Then of coarse the graphical sides of it all. Once combining all of that together, things start to become complicated. Depends what you aiming for. Either way good luck and stick at it.
Ya I know there is a lot to it. My focus is building ecommerce websites. Hypokill do you have any suggestions on web utility software? Also if possible can you point me in the direction of a good source for css information/tutorials? I appreciate the help!!
I agree with OP up to some extent... Designing a website is not difficult if you know the designing language i have created few websites as well but failed to give them a professional, look reason being; i am not a professional programmer
While designing website the most important thing is to keep in mind that for what peoples are comming to your site and give them what they want in just two or three clicks.
To further your knowledge and make it easier for yourself. Edit your pages online with www.easywebcontent.com. It makes my life easier than editing something offline and uploading it over and over again.
Well you can use wordpad to code but i'd recommend dreamweaver. It can help with coding css and html. I've got nothing to recommend as far as tutorials go.
Yeah that is true. It is a fun work once you know it all properly. Even I love to get knowledge related to it.
