Designing/Building Niche Sites

I am interested in building several niche websites, which I can in turn place adsense, etc. At this point I have several sites, but none of which I designed on my own...

Is there an easy program that will allow me to design, build, etc.? Any help would be great!

    Hi,

Are you asking about free editors? If you are there are plenty, NVU and 1st Page are both good free options.

If you are looking for templates, http://www.oswd.org list hundreds of free ones for you to use.

    Hope this helps

Very nice post there. I would also go to http://www.openwebdesign.org if you are looking for a nice template. You could also run wordpress and there are plenty of free templates for it. Good luck.

I agree with this - with Wordpress you can knock up sites pretty rapidly and you don't really have to worry about SEO either.

I would tend to agree abut Wordpress - the more I use it, the bigger fan I become. It is simple, highly customizable, and has a plugin for just about everything. Best of all, it is free.

You can download free templates for it or build your own site specific template. It does not have to even look like a blog if you choose the right template. And the search engines seem to love it.

Choosing a solution like Wordpress for niche sites helps you to focus on the important things, like adding content and attracting visitors to make your sites more profitable...

Agree here. Wordpress is great for theming and adding content.

Also Joomla is a consideration, it is more advanced but has loads of great CMS features and is, of course, free as well. (always a bonus)

I would recommend that you learn a bit about HTML and CSS.
There are plenty of tutorials all over the web, and then you can
quickly knock together a basic MFA in a few minutes using just
Notepad and your favourite web browser.

Plus, these technical skills will very likely come in handy in the
    future of your IM career.

Isn't Wordpress a blog software? Also, why wouldn't you have to worry about SEO?

There are things like Blog & Ping, etc. That can help with search engines, and search engines love blogs with RSS feeds.. :)
