I've always built and coded websites for myself, and never for anyone else. But recently I decided I might try to get some clients to build a website for. I haven't the slightest idea of what I should charge for it. This is what I'll be doing: Full content management system (PHP and MySQL) Complete site design and coding in valid xhtml and css logo and graphics design (kind of, i'll be modifying their existing ones) Basically a whole site for a fairly large dealership around where I live. How much should I charge? Or how can I figure it out. BTW, my work is top notch. I don't screw around. I have a good 5 years experience with html and css and 2 with php and 2 1/2 mysql. Thanks!
Just as a general rule of them, charge what you're worth and never under-charge or you will be less likely to complete the work. If you are spending 20 hours on such a site, you may want to work for no less than $10.00, $200.00 would be your asking price. At the same time, realize that without a good portfolio and some itrader you will have a more difficult time providing services at higher rates.
