Designing a site - advice

I have decided that it is time to give one of my sites an overhaul as its a bit boring.

Now i have no idea where to start with the redesign other than that the Logo will be the same, and it will be in Oscommerce.

How do people get inspiration, and can anyone give me som - lol

what features do you think i could add? etc and does anyone have any ideas they would want to share?

well, your interface is pretty clean right now - the text "unable to connect to database server" is pretty legible.

On a more serious note, have you looked at sites like templatemonster.com for os commerce templates? There are a lot of good ideas there, and live versions to browse through...

 

have a look at sites that promote what you promote and get ideas from them: what do you like, what don't you like, what do you think you can do better,...

I think "Unable to connect to database server!" should be centered on the page other than that your off to a good start.

thanks all, my host is having server issues, these should resolve soon

i felt that left aligned and one line of text was good enough

 

Have you maybe thought about changing the background ( old-yellowish ) collor, might make a large difference.
