I have been doing webdesign for a while, REALLY part time, I had a few clients a while back that made me take a nice long break LOL- but I have gotten some amazing opportunities and have gotten back to work. But I am in need of some design refreshers (i.e. cs4 products like photoshop, flash, fireworks, etc.) I am a LONG time paint shop pro user, but photoshop would probably work so much better for me- my problem comes in with the transition, I am SOO used to PSP that when I try to use photoshop I am lost- I have figured out the basics, mostly- but am looking for a good site to get tutorials and training. Because I am making money with my design projects currently, and when I finish the current ones I will be able to get the monthly maintenance fees (totalling about $300 a month for all the sites I have/am making. ) I want to get a good one- so paying up to $30 a month is do-able right now. so far the two main ones I am looking at are Kelby training and Total Training, both are 24 a month if you pay monthly, and both seem to have a TON of training courses available for all sorts of products, but I want to get opinions on them from yall if you have any. (i.e. just because they have a ton available does ot mean they are any good!) and if you know of another place offering training (under $30 a month) please let me know! thanks!
I have used Lynda.com online tutorials in the past for many programs & been very happy. They have a wide range of tutorials, that get pretty in depth. The cost is about $25/month. if you go month to month. Also there are quite a few decent tutorials on youtube, There is "Adobe Photoshop Tutorials – Best Of" and I found this list too "Use YouTube to learn Photoshop" http://www.fortysomething.ca/mt/etc/archives/006129.php And althogh there are not any right now, quite often you can find free or fairly priced Photoshop Live Classes on EduFire - where you can interact with the teacher and as specific questions as you learn.
WOW- Lynda.com is amazing! That has EVERYTHING I could ever want! I think I will be goign with them- thanks so much!! The other links are awesome too! thanks!!
