Design Paradox - Advice Needed

So I have a bit of a paradox. I have a game written in VB6 that we've had for quite some time. We used to have ads rotating in them years ago which would bring us revenue. We backed off those ads due to lack of networks allowing that and game SDKs not compatible with that technology. We now just have in-house ads running in them.

So now you are saying.. VB6??!? in 2013?!! Yes, but we are ready to move to HTML5/JS/CSS3 but there is the paradox.

The primary objective is to update technology/framework AND be able to run ads in the game so that we don't have to rely on in-app purchases or subscription models. We can design a windows 8 app and leverage pubcenter (I am a windows 8 dev) for ads but for cross-platform designs, we would have to leverage appmobi or some other framework to port to other platforms which seems to be a bit more work than just porting it to the web browser specifically. But if we port to the web, we lose the pub center leverage and there really isn't anything that I am aware of that I could use. Adsense doesn't like us.

    Thoughts?
