design, is it wise investment?

A month ago I bought a free image hosting website. Now I know that these websites, does not earn a killing, but anyway I am trying to get up my website to another level. My website is www.heyimage.com

Is it worth to invest 150$ in new white website background? Something like a www.flickr.com Do You think that more members will sign up, if we had a better more clear, and nicier design?

invest 50$ into design.

for the amount i can make you a nice clean hosting design.

then use the rest to advertise.

Invest 0 more into design. Invest the entire thing into traffic.

People are not going to talk about your site if they cant find it. Spend the money once you can pay for the design using the profits from your advertising... (If there is any)

 

Hmmm. I want this website take off viral, but for me design seems is too bad for a viral effect to take off.
So You guys suggesting I better spend that money in google adsense advertisement?
