Design Ideas

I'm currently developing a simple website called LegendTeams about the game League of Legends. Because I want the base of the website finished before putting more attention into the design of it, I put up a simple design but not unique. Since League of Legends is one of the most popular games and this site is the first of its kind, I need to stand out immediately by the ease of use and design.

A colorful design is something I would like, but I like the modern style of websites like Google. The simplicity in those websites is what I'm looking for and still look professional. The site needs to run without Javascript but add several features like AJAX to reload the teams.

I'm currently working on the search function to only display the things that you're looking for, so don't pay any attention to the top form under the title 'Search'. Use the second form to add your summoner. Spam protection and such will be in place later.

This took me a while to create because of this error: "Server did not respond in time when fetching...", can I disable this?

AJAX means "Asynchronous Javascript And XHTML". AJAX without Javascript is like liquid water without wet. It's not possible, because AJAX IS Javascript.

As far as the rest, you don't put up a design just to be first, then add the functionality later. You'll get all your lookie-loos when you have no functionality, and they'll never come back. ("This will be implemented soon" is just another way of saying "Don't bother saving the URL - there's nothing here for you", as far as your users are concerned.)

I know AJAX is Javascript, but I mean that AJAX is an additional feature. I'm sorry that English isn't my primary language, calm down.

I'm not putting the site out there yet, I will when it is finished so no need for all of that.
